The Royal Hospital - Ireland's oldest public building - now the Museum Of Modern Art

Built in 1684 as a home for retired soldiers, the Royal Hospital at Kilmainham was the first major public building to be constructed in Dublin. The design, by Sir William Robinson, was based on Les Invalides in Paris.

Texture by Playingwithbrushes. Thank you.
