Spanning the Liffey

James Joyce Bridge, Dublin

Early morning light catches James Joyce Bridge, Dublin

Named after the Dublin author James Joyce. His story “The Dead” is set in a house facing the bridge at 15 Usher’s Island.

One of two Santiago Calatrava projects planned for Dublin. The other is a larger and more ambitious structure, recently arrived from Rotterdam. It will soon be in place at Spencer Dock opposite Dublin’s new Convention Centre.
